Day 01 : Arrival at Delhi
Fly into Capital city of Delhi. From airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Check into your room which already has been booked for you. Spend the remaining day according to your interests. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi Sightseeing
Your first morning in Delhi welcomes you to the first day of our
tour. We start by visiting all the major tourist attractions in Delhi.
We first head to the heritage monument of Qutab Minar, which is the
tallest minaret in India. Get a peak into this architectural which is
completely built of red sandstone. From here we drive past to
Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhavan. We make a short stop at India
Gate to have a look from close quarters. We continue to Akshardham
Temple. You willlove the architectural work and carvings that make it
The magnificence of Old Delhi awaits us. Enjoy a unique rickshaw ride on the streets of Chandni Chowk (the once royal market of Mughals). From here, shop for jewelry items from the famous jewelry market, Dariba Kalan. Few paces away is the world heritage site Red Fort. The main attractions are Diwan-i-Khas and Diwan-i-Am, watch the magnificent carvings on the palace walls which once had precious stones. Shop for many handicraft items, fake ivory jewelry, and miniature paintings from the famous Meena Bazaar inside the fort. In the evening, enjoy the pleasing Light and Sound show, which depicts the glorious history of Mughals. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03 : To Jaipur
Get set to catch your flight to the heritage state of Rajasthan. We visit the capital city of Jaipur. It's not a long flight and we reach our destination within 40 minutes of the departure. From airport, you will be directly taken to your hotel. After resting for a while, we move out into the city for some excellent shopping markets. In the evening, we visit Choki Dhani, the ethnic village resort. There we have a delicious Rajasthani dinner along with enjoying traditional Rajasthani dances and other cultural programmes like puppet show. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04 : Jaipur Sightseeing
Jaipur is one of the most tourist favored cities in India. And after today's sightseeing of the city, you will come to know the exact reason behind the fact. We start the day by visiting the Palace of Wind, the splendorous Hawa Mahal. There are approximately 953 windows in the building that keeps the palace cool even during peak summer afternoons. Just round the corner is Jantar Mantar, the celestial observatory. The devices in the observatory are all big and resemble the Jantar Mantar in Delhi. We thenhead to the famous City Palace. Get a glimpse of the two huge Silver urn's which were used by the king to take the water of Ganges when he visited England. The display of dress of Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh who was quite overweight, is huge and is worth a glance. There also are museums showcasing the different items once used by the kings and queens of Rajasthan and by the royal army. The weapons museum in Sileh Khana will definitely be the most mesmerizing one. In the second half of the day, we visit the grand Amber Fort. To reach the fort, we take a ride on an elephant which would be unique experience. On way back to our hotel, we make a short stop by the side of the Lake Palace. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 : Jaipur Agra (220 km)
Early morning, after a delicious Rajasthani breakfast, we leave for Agra by road. The distance between the two cities is around 220 km which we will be covering in 5-6 hrs. As we reach Agra, you will be directly taken to your hotel for some necessary rest after such a long journey. In the evening, we explore the famous markets of Agra. Shop for the handmade carpets and miniature art works. Specially the miniature model of Taj Mahal. It's time for probably the most awaited moments of your tour, visit to one of the seven wonders of the world, Taj Mahal. Taj, under the moonlight is a sight straight out of a picture book. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06 : Agra and Fatehpur Sikri Sightseeing
Wake up early to catch a glimpse of the Taj with the first rays of the rising sun. The sight is of the same quality as that of the earlier night, if not better. We then visit the Celebrated Agra Fort which is not too far from the Taj. The view of Taj Mahal from the Agra Fort just cannot be missed. After going through every nook and corner of the fort, we move towards the world heritage site of Fatehpur Sikri. The town wears a deserted look but the main attraction in the city are all well preserved. The most famous structure here is the Tomb of Salim Chisti. Other attractions of the city are the Palace of Jodha Bai, Panch Mahal, Diwan i Am and Diwan-i-Khas. We then head back to Agra for Overnight stay.
Day 07 : Agra Delhi (203 km)
After seeing the best of Agra, we head back to Delhi. The distance between the two cities is around 203 km. By noon we will be back in Delhi. In the evening, we visit Delhi Haat, which is a good place to shop for items belonging to different states from the state stalls. The place is generally buzzing with shopaholics and youngsters, especially in the evening time. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 08: Delhi Mumbai
We leave for Mumbai in the morning itself. The flight takes around 2 hrs to reach Mumbai. From airport, you will be directly taken to your hotel. Rest for a while before leaving to the pristine beaches of Mumbai. It is in the evening that the beaches come alive with hustle and bustle of people. Food vendors line the beaches with their stalls. And almost all of them have something unique to offer. Do try the famous vada-pav on the Chowpatty beach. Even till late nights, the beaches remain full with people. So enjoy the cool atmosphere of the beaches till the time you like. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 09: Mumbai Sightseeing
Day 9 is set aside for sightseeing in the commercial capital of India. In the morning, we visit the famous Gateway of India. This yellows basalt and reinforced concrete structure stands right on the edge of the city. You will notice that the design resembles a lot to the Muslim architectural style of the 16th century. Later that day, we take a one hour boat ride to the Elephanta Caves which are situated on an island not too far away from here. The caves are recognized as a world heritage site by UNESCO. As you enter the caves, you will get to see the statues of Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma. You will come to know why the caves were named Elephanta Caves when you find two huge elephant sculptures on the entrance. Inside, you will find sculptures of Hindu Gods and Goddesses carved on the walls of these rock cut caves. We return to Mumbai hotel for overnight stay.
Day 10: Mumbai Aurangabad
Wake up early, as we have to catch an early morning flight to Aurangabad. The journey is quite short and takes only 45 minutes. From airport you will be directly taken to a hotel. After a delicious breakfast, we move onto our next destination, the world heritage site of Ajanta and Ellora Caves. Situated around 100 km from Aurangabad. It takes around 2 hrs to cover the distance. These rock cut caves once served as a learning center to Buddhist monks. Notice the figures on the wall that depict stories from the Jatakas which is tale of many Buddha reincarnations. There are around 34 Ajanta Caves and around 29 Ellora caves. You will find carvings and paintings belonging to Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism. The Paintings still retain the color and the precision with which they were built. Spend the entire day amidst the magnificent caves exploring every section of it at your own pace. Back to Aurangabad hotel for the overnight stay.
Day 11: Aurangabad Mumbai Goa
We catch an early morning flight back to Mumbai. Day 11 is all for leisure. You can visit the many malls and shopping markets during the day. As the evening falls, pack your bags and get ready for a splendid cruise night to Goa. Board the ship and set sail to the land of beaches. The first look of the cruise liner will let you know that you are in for the best time of the tour. Every thing from the deck to your personal room, has a touch of extravagant lavishness. As the ship cuts across the dark waters, look at the reflections of the ship in the sea which will be an exquisite sight. The journey will not be event less at all. There would be cultural performances along the way which will continue into the late nights. Do not worry about the kids. The entire ship is full of luxuries to pamper you. There is a separate kids section which has all the amenities to keep your kid engaged and happy. You can enjoy many indoor sports as well. Overnight stay on the ship.
Day 12: Goa Beaches
We reach Goa early in the morning. As you step down, you will be directly taken to a beach resort. After a sumptuous Goan breakfast, we move out to tread through the unique shopping markets. The must shop from Goa are the locally made handicrafts. The handicrafts items include terracotta, shell work, carved furniture, papier-mache, etc. For great value, shop from the Government Emporia. And for variety, choose the shops and stalls near the renowned tourist spots. In the second half of the day, we visit the many pristine beaches of Goa, in fact tourists from all over the world come to these beaches for spending their holidays. Indulge in many watersports like scuba diving and snorkeling on the water front for which the facilities are excellent. As the evening sets in, the beauty of the beaches gets more visible. The setting sun over the horizon, provides multi hues to sand on the beach. Till late nights the beaches remain lively with people and parties. Stay at the beaches as long as you wish to. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 13: Goa Sightseeing
Roll out of your cozy bed listening to the soothing sound of sea waves which is like music to the years. Today we explore the famous and not so famous yet magnificent Churches of Goa. Some of them are here from the time of Portuguese. The most famous churches that we visit today are The Church of Mae de Deus, The Basillica of Bom Jesus, and The Church of St. Francis. Goa always has been known for its casinos and nightlife. So this evening, we plan to get the taste of it. Be a part of the loud parties in the many discos or visit the casinos for few games. Overnight stay at the beach resort.
Day 14: Goa Kochi
The flight to Kochi departs early in the morning. After a light snack session we leave for the airport. We reach Kochi in the morning itself. You will be utterly hungry, but your wait and patience are going to be well rewarded as we have delicious Kerala special, dosa and sambar. We immediately leave for Periyar which is at a distance of around 195 km. By the time we reach there, it will be well past noon. We straight away check into a Jungle resort on the outskirts of the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The rest of the day is according to your interests. The cool atmosphere of the jungle will take away all the travel exhaustion and rejuvenate you to the deepest. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 15: Periyar Wildlife Safari
Wake up to the misty morning in the nature's lap. Periyar Wildlife is one of the greenest sanctuaries in India and the effect of it, you will feel with every breath. There is an early morning safari into the park. The Park is famous for the wild elephants and the most feared predator, tiger. Keep your cameras focused all the time as you will also get to see the rarest of aquatic birds, The number of species of migratory birds is also quite high in the park. There is a 100 year old artificial lake as well in the park. As we near it, make sure the cameras are fully loaded as here the possibility of spotting the elephants tigers is the highest. In the evening, we explore the nearby plantations as well. As the night falls, we are back to our hotel for overnight stay.
Day 16: Periyar Alleppey
Another magical morning in God's Own Country welcomes you to Day 16. After breakfast we take a road journey to Alleppey. The distance between the two places is around 155 km and it take around 3 hrs to cover the distance. We directly transfer you to a resort . The rest of the day is at leisure. Utilize it by relaxing by the banks of the backwaters. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 17: Backwater Cruise
Today is the day we experience the much celebrated backwater cruise. Throughout the day we will be on a boat enjoying the serene environment. As we cruise through the backwaters, we come across scores of glorious visuals. Also notice the Snake boat docks and the fishing nets on the banks. We make brief stops at many interesting places where you can interact with the locales and learn a lot about their way of living. Evenings are the best time to experience the ride as cool breeze brushes past your face and gives a refreshing feeling. We then return to the resort for overnight stay.
Day 18: Ayurveda Day
Its been more than half a month since we have been together, exploring the magical wonders of India. Though your heart might be feeling really overjoyed, but your body might be a bit tired and lacking. So to bring the enthusiasm back to your body, we have kept a complete day for Ayurvedic therapy. The beach resort in which we are staying has few of the best Ayurvedic programmes. Your therapy starts early in the morning which is medically considered to be the best time for the treatment. After the therapy finishes, take a bath in the pool and feel a new you coming out of the cool waters. Rest of the day, lie by the side of the pool and let all the memories of this exhilarating tour seep into the depths. At night we move back to Kochi. Overnight stay at Kochi hotel
Day 19: Kochi - Lakshwadeep
After breakfast, we leave for the magnificent beaches of Lakshwadeep Islands. We sail through the calm waters of the sea. Enjoy the sight of vast laying ocean. The ship full of facilites that will make your cruise a pretty comfortable one. So enjoy every moment of your journey. Looking at the sunset on the horizon, from the middle of the sea is something special. Overnight on the ship.
Day 20: On The Beaches of Lakshwadeep
We reach the scintillating islands early in the morning. You are transferred directly to a beach resort. Rest for some time before visiting the sublime beaches of the islands. Walking barefoot on the sands gives a feeling that can not be matched. There are great facilities for watersports on the beaches. So indulge in activities like kayaking, snorkelling, para sailing and scuba diving. At night lie on your back on the beach and look skywards. The crystal clear and star studded sky, that probably is not visible in cities or towns anymore, will leave you breathless. Make sure that you don't doze off on the beach itself under the effect of cool breeze. Overnight at the beach resort.
Day 21: Lakshadweep Kochi
We leave for Kochi early morning. You again get to enjoy a pleasant ship cruise, this time back to Kochi. The journey will take something between 14-20 hrs to finish. Infact, utilize the time for relaxing all your muscles. Overnight stay on the cruise ship.
Day 22: Kochi - Delhi
This is the last day of the tour. You will be transferred to airport on time for flight to your onward journey.
