Day 01 : Arrival at Mumbai
Fly into the metropolitan city of Mumbai. From there you will be transferred to your hotel. Take rest for the remaining day. Get the feel of Indian warmth and atmosphere before we set out for few of the most special moments of your life. If time permits, you can step out for a small shopping stint.
Day 02 : Enjoy Mumbai Sightseeing
Today is the day when we start with a detailed look into Mumbai. In the morning, we move to the magnificent Gateway of India. Around a century old, the arch is still the most imposing structure in Mumbai. From there itself, we take a pacifying boat ride to a World Heritage ride, Elephanta Caves. Covering around 60,000 sq feet, the caves are among the most visited destinations in Maharashtra. We come to back to Mumbai, to explore some exquisite beaches. It is in the evening that the beaches come to life. Don't forget to taste the fabulous Mumbai snack from the many vendors standing of the beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03 : Mumbai - Bangalore
You second day of the tour starts quite early as you have to catch a morning flight to Bangalore. Within 2 hours, we land in the capital of Karnataka, Bangalore. Check into the hotel and get yourself ready for a date with the IT city of India. Here, you visit the famous Bangalore Palace along with grand Vidhana Soudha, Tipu Sultan's Fort and beautiful Cubbon Park. Notice the similarity of Bangalore Palace architecture with that of Windsor Castle in England. We return to our hotel in the evening for overnight stay.
Day 04 : Bangalore - Mysore (127 Km)
Covering the distance of 127 Km in around 4 hrs, we reach Mysore. After checking into the hotel, rest of the day is at leisure. Mysore is a wonderful; place to be in. So try making the most of it by stepping out in the evening. Shopping in the street shops for locally made handicrafts is a great experience. Do not forget to buy yourself some exquisite Mysore Paintings which are the most famous in Mysore. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05 : Mysore Palace Sightseeing
Wake up to a gorgeous day in Mysore. After delicious breakfast, we proceed for attractions in the city. First we visit the famous Mysore Palace. Its first view itself will mesmerize you. Grand from outside, it is stupendously lavish from inside. It is arguably the most magnificent palace in India. Walk past the richly decorated hallways admiring the paintings of former kings and queens. We continue our journey to other attractions of the city like St. Philomena's Church, beautiful Brindavan Gardens and Rail museum. We return to our hotel for overnight stay.
Day 06 : Mysore to Hassan (98 Km) - See The Famous Monolithic Statue
Early morning we leave for Hassan which is around 98 Km from here. It will take around 2 hrs to cover the distance. As soon as we reach Hassan, we check into the hotel. After taking some rest, we take you to a nearby town of Shravanabelagola which is famous for the world's tallest monolithic statue of Lord Bahubali. Just 50 Km from Hassan, it is one of the most important Jain Pilgrimage destination. Get amazed by the size of the statue of Lord Bahubali and experience a bird's eye view of Shravanabelagola town for the top of the hill. Back to Hassan hotel for overnight stay.
Day 07 : Hassan to Belur (31 Km) - Halebid (17 Km) - Travel To The Ancient Temples
Today we plan to explore some of the most magnificent temples in Karnataka. We start off by visiting the temples of Belur which is at a distance of around 31 km from Hassan. There are three main temples in Belur, most attractive being the Chennakeshava Temple. It is also the only Hoysala Temple still in use. Notice the intricate carvings right through the temple. All the temples in the area are well preserved making it a unique experience to explore these temples. From Belur itself, we head for Halebid, another temple destination of Karnataka. It is just 17 km from Belur. Most the temples here are of 12th century when Halebid was the capital of Hoysala Dynasty. The most magnificent temple here is the Hoysaleswara Temple. It is built on a star shaped platform and the main attraction of the temple is a gigantic statue of Nandi Bull. You will be surely captivated by the size of the statue, but in amazement, do not forget to look at the carvings on the walls which are as good as any. A 38 Km Drive takes us back to Hassan. We will be taking a night train to Shimoga which reaches Shimoga early morning.
Day 08: Shimoga To Jog Falls (105 Km) - See India's Highest Waterfalls
Directly we take you to your hotel room for some rest before a hectic day. Though the distance between the Shimoga and Jog Falls is long, but a tour package not catering to Jog Falls is never complete. So even if the day becomes a bit tight scheduled, it is worth it. After breakfast, we leave for Jog Falls, after a 3 hr ride we reach the splendid Jog Falls, the highest waterfall in India. Rest of the day we spent enjoying the refreshing natural surroundings mixed with the sound of roaring waters. Jog Falls come down in four different streams. They have been named as Raja (King), Roarer, Rani (Queen) and Rocket. Look and listen, and you will be able to know why they are named so. Late in the evening we head back to Shimoga for overnight stay.
Day 09: Shimoga to Hospet (174 Km)
Day 9 of the tour is primarily kept aside for traveling. We take a 174 Km road journey to Hospet which will take close to 5 hrs. So we leave early to reach our destination before it becomes the hot. As soon as we reach Hospet, check into a hotel for some much needed rest. Spend the rest of the day according to your interests. If you wish, step out into neighborhood and walk through the busy streets, shopping for things that you find interesting, or just rejuvenate yourself in your cozy hotel room. Though, former one is the better idea. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10: Hospet to Hampi - Enjoy Exploring The Ancient Caves
Probably the most interesting day of the tour as we take you to the most beautiful ruins in India. Today we have a date with the World Heritage Site of Hampi. So get ready quickly so as to spend maximum time among the temples of Hampi. It is just 13 Km from here, that means no time will be taken for traveling. The most attractive temple among all the wonders is Vithala Temple. It is the most intricately carved temple in entire Karnataka. Once you enter the temple, it is completely different world giving you an insight into India's past. Stone Chariot present in the front of the temple is an exquisite art work on a rock. Walk inside the 56 pillared hall where pillars produce sounds when they are tapped gently. Other temple attraction in Hampi are Virupaksha temple and Hazara Rama Temple. The Statue 'Ugra Narasimha' is among the most mesmerizing attraction in Hampi. No matter how much time you spend in Hampi, it always fells insufficient. As the evening sets in, we head back to our hotel in Hospet. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 11: Hospet to Badami Caves (103 Km)
After a sumptuous Karnataka breakfast, we drive to Badami, to another highly visited place in Karnataka, the Badami Caves. After a 3 hr. drive, we check into a resort which is quite near to the caves. After taking ample rest, we head to the magical Badami Caves in the second half of the day. There are four main caves, all situated close by. These caves are considered a pilgrimage destination as the caves are dedicated to Hindu and Jain Gods. Admire the exquisite carvings done on the walls of the temples. You will notice that Caves 1, 2, and 3 are Hindu temples whereas Cave 4 is a Jain pilgrim place. Cave 1 has splendid Carvings of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva as Nataraja with 18 arms and in 108 dance poses. Cave 2 dedicated to Lord Vishnu and the God is shown as Trivikrama mastering earth and sky with both his foots. Cave 3 too is also dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Before night, we are at our resort for overnight stay.
Day 12: Badami to Goa (320 Km)
Depending on whether we were able to cover the Badami caves entirely, we plan our day. If something was missed, we can go back and complete it or else we will leave for Goa in morning itself. During the journey of 320 Km which will take about 7 hrs, we will have couple of breaks to stretch ourself. The journey is through beautiful landscapes which won't let your eyes tire. By evening we reach Goa. You will be directly taken to a beach resort on one of the many serene beaches of Goa. Overnight at the resort.
Day 13: Goa Beaches Sightseeing Tour
After a sumptuous Goan breakfast, we set out to explore the many churches and beaches of Goa. Few of the most magnificent Churches of Goa have been here from the time Portuguese built it . The famous churches that we visit today are The Church of Mae de Deus, The Basillica of Bom Jesus, and The Church of St. Francis. In the second half of the day, we experience the magic of Goa beaches. Just laze around on the golden beaches under the shadows of palm trees that line the beaches. Feel the cool breeze from the seaside brush past your face. Evenings without a doubt are the best time to be on the Goa beaches. Looking at the sun setting on the horizon behind the multi hued ocean, gives you a feeling of supreme satisfaction. In the night, we experience the much celebrated nightlife of Goa. You can either be a part of extravagant parties or you can try your luck in the many casinos in Goa. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 14: Goa to Mumbai
We have come to the end of a splendid tour taking you to the best of Karnataka. In morning, we catch a flight to Mumbai from where you will take a flight for your onward journey.
