Day 01 : Arrival in Delhi

Arrive in the capital city of India, Delhi and meet our representatives who will straightway transfer you to the hotel. Shake off every bit of tiredness from your body by a cool & refreshing bath. Thereafter, enjoy the hot steaming food. Rest of the day is also free in case you want to relax more.

Day 02 : Sightseeing in Delhi

Early morning, have your breakfast in the hotel and proceed to view some captivating glimpses of the city that has remained in the hot spot for centuries now. The Old Delhi preserves some of the historical monuments that narrate the stories of this rich city.

The Red Fort and the Jama Masjid are the first of the monuments to be visited. Each one of the two has its importance in the past and present India. The two monuments are closeby, hence can be explored quiet easily. Also the Chandni Chowk market is worth visiting if you do not mind narrow lanes and too much of crowd. Next visit and pay your respect at the Rajghat, the samadhi, of the Father of the Nation, Mahatama Gandhi.

Enjoy a sumptuous lunch at a hotel and thereafter visit the newest attraction in Delhi, the Akshardham Temple. In the evening, shop for some of the exquisite Indian items from the newer markets of Delhi. Nearly all kind of goods from various parts of the country are available in Delhi market, hence the variety is definitely mindblowing. Day 03 : Agra - The City of Taj Mahal

Next day, early morning breakfast and after that departure for Agra. Agra is at a distance of 203 km SE from Delhi and is connected to it by NH -2 via Palwal, Hodai, Kosi Kalan, Mathura and Farah.

Agra's rich history has been much written and talked about. On your arrival after a four and a half hour journey, relax for a while and then move to visit the Agra Fort. The red sandstone fort was built by Akbar in the 16th century and has numerous interesting monuments built inside it. Prominent among these are the Nagina Masjid, Zenana Meena Bazaar, Musamman Burj, Diwan-e-khas, Hauz - i - Jahangiri. Still Cameras and video (on charge) are allowed inside the fort so it is possible for you to click as many photographs as you want.

Have your lunch in a hotel and set off to explore the beauty of the Eighth wonder of the world - The Taj Mahal. The white marble mausoleum is dedicated to the lovely wife of Shah Jahan, the great Mughal Emperor of India. The beauty of the Taj descends straight in your heart, specially when you view it during the sunset. Free Still cameras and videos on charges are allowed here too.

The rest of the evening can be spent shopping for handicrafts in the Agra market. Some of the items that have become a speciality for Agra are marble work, leather work, brassware, jewellery and zari embroidery. For those tourists who love eating, petha and dalmoth of Agra is a special attraction. The shopping complex is located in and around the Taj Complex itself which means that you have greater opportunity to view the Taj even after you have come out of it.

Later, return to your hotel and stay overnight in Agra.

Day 04 : Bharatpur - Enjoy The Bird Watching Tour To The City

In the morning catch another glimpse of the magnificent Taj as the sun rises from below the horizon. It is one view that will linger in your mind long after your trip is over.

Have a quick breakfast and set out for the famed Bharatpur Park which is at a distance of 56 km from Agra. Spread in a small area of 29 sq km, the park also known as the Keoladeo Ghana National Park attracts 350 species of birds, including both resident and migratory birds. Siberian Cranes, Pelicans, Geese, Ducks, Eagles, Hawks, Shanks, Stints, Wagtails, Warblers, Wheatears, Flycatchers, Buntings, Larks and Pipits are just few names. The entire atmosphere is filled with the mellifluous voices of birds and flapping of the wings. You can enjoy watching their activities (and some of animals as well) by walking, boating and cycling around. Lunch can be enjoyed at a hotel near the park's main entrance.
Later, when the exploration of the park is over, visit the Lohgarh Fort and the Ganga Temple. Return to your hotel and stay overnight in Bharatpur.

Day 05 : Ranthambore - Explore The Wild World of Rajasthan

Have your breakfast comfortably in the morning and set out for Ranthambore. The place is famous as a National Park and a Tiger Reserve. Amongst so many different wildlife destinations in India, the Ranthambore National Park is still considered best to view the majestic Tigers in its natural environment and also capture it in your camera. The park also boasts of a medieval fort known by the name of the Ranthambore Fort which cannot be missed out any cost.

Have your lunch en route. Ranthambore is reached after a six hour drive. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and relax for the rest of the day.

Day 06 : Ranthambore

Leave early morning for the Ranthambore National Park which is spread in an area of 400 sq km. You have the opportunity for choosing the vehicle, jeep or canter, in which you want to go around the trip. Canter trips will suit only if you love to have more company while on your search for Tigers.

Other animals and reptiles to look out for in the park include Leopards, Striped Hyenas, Indian Wild Boar, Chinkara, Jackals, Indian Flying Foxes,. The bird population of the park is also quiet attractive distraction between your Tiger search.

The Ranthambore Fort not only has a rich history in its heart but also provide elevated platforms so that you can watch the surrounding area with much ease. The nearby lakes, the Padam Talao, Rajbagh and the Malik Talao, are also quiet attractive.

Return to your hotel for lunch and in the afternoon come back to view some more animals. Cameras and videos are allowed into the park on payment of certain charges which ranges between 200-2000, depending on the purpose of shoot.

Day 07 : Ranthambore - Kota - Enjoy Tiger Watching

Early morning, pay yet another visit to the Ranthambore National Park in search of the gorgeous Tigers. If you have seen it the previous day, then you have a second opportunity to view your favourite animal this morning. In case you could not spot it the day before, then this is your chance to do it.

Later drive to Kota which is located at a distance of 100 km from Ranthambore. Relax a little bit post lunch and then head towards the City Palace Complex. The complex was built in the 13th century and has Hawa Mahal, Jaleb Chowk, Nakkarkhana Darwaza, Hathia Pol, Kunwarbade Ka Mahal, Sooraj Gokh, Zenana Mahal and Chhatra Mahal open for public viewing. The highlights of the palace are fluted pillars, colourful murals and mirror inlay works. The Rao Madho Singh Museum displays some of the exceptional memorabilia from Kota's past.

Return to hotel and have your delicious dinner. Overnight stay in Kota.

Day 08 : Bundi - Travel To The Famous Bundi Fort

Next morning, after breakfast, leave for Bundi which is at a distance of 36 km from Kota. Long back Kota and Bundi formed one region and were separated only after an interference from the Mughal ruler, Jehangir.

Bundi is quiet a small place and can be covered on foot. Visit the Taragarh Fort which dominates this small town from atop a 55 feet high hill. The views from the fort are simply awesome! The hills with greenery on it will refresh you if you are feeling even a bit lazy.

Two lake below the fort, the Jait Sagar Lake and the Nawal Sagar Lake have their own charm. Paddle boat in the first and visit a temple dedicated to Varuna (ocean God) in the second. Also, see the Raniji ki Baoli, a famous stepwell built by Rani Nathvatji in the 17th century. The Bundi Palace is one of the classic example of the Rajputana architecture combining strength with beauty. The murals inside the palace, which is only partially opened for the public, is genuinely appreciative.

Day 09 : Chittaurgarh - Get Set For A Religious And Historical Trip

This morning, post breakfast, head towards Chittaurgarh, a city famous for its warring history. Chittaurgarh is at a distance of 121 km from Bundi. En route, stop by to see the ancient temples of Bijoliyan and Meenal dedicated to Ganesha and Shiva respectively. The temples at Meenal is considered a miniature version of the world famous Khajuraho Temples.

On arrival, check into your hotel and proceed for a half day visit to the Chittaurgarh Fort. The fort has had a history of being attacked thrice by powerful rulers. The monuments inside will gradually unveil the stories of these battles before you.

In the evening, visit the workshops in Shehar, Bassi (20 km) which is famous for its wooden toys - dancers, musician, soldiers and animals. Pick up a toy of your choice and keep it as a memory of your visit.

Return to Chittaurgarh and enjoy a relishing dinner with lilting musical cultural show in your hotel. Stay overnight in Chittaurgarh.

Day 10 : Udaipur - Pray At The Famous Jagdish Temple

Early in the morning leave Chittaurgarh for yet another sparkling destination of Rajasthan, Udaipur. At a distance of 112 km from Chittaurgarh, Udaipur boasts of being the one of the most beautiful cities of Rajasthan and has also earned itself the sobriquet of the Lake City.

On arrival to Udaipur, transfer straight to the hotel and freshen up. Set out to visit the beautiful Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon Ki Bari. The first one was built by Maharan Jagat Singh in the 17th century and houses the shrines of various Gods and Goddess like Ganesh, Shiva, Surya and Shakti. The garden was laid down by Maharana Sangram Singh as a pleasure garden for the 48 maids who constituted the dowry of the prince. It is perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Lotus pool, lawns, flowerbeds and fountains.

There are quiet a number of shops around the Jagdish Temple from where you can pick up all sorts of local crafts specially miniature paintings in the Rajput Mughal style. Other items that you can pick up here include jewellery, carpets, block printed fabrics, marble items, wooden figure and paper mache.

Day 11 : Udaipur - Explore The Famous Lake City

This morning, have your breakfast and set out for a second and more enjoyable sightseeing trip in Udaipur mixed with plenty of leisure time.

Visit the City Palace Complex which is today majorly a museum showcasing a varied collection of artefacts. Items on display include arms, glass & mirror work and miniatures paintings. Examine the stuffed kangroo and monkey in the Government museum and crystal items at Crystal Gallery. Within the City Palace complex, both these museums are diametrically different in terms of items displayed, yet are common in the sense that they preserve the rich legacy of the Rajputs till date.

Enjoy a boat ride in the Lake Pichola and reach to the Jag Mandir Island which was commenced by the Maharana Karan Singh. The stone carvings of the Island, specially the row of huge elephants and a chhatri, is really commendable for its impressiveness.

Later, pay a visit to the Pratap Memorial and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir as well. The first one is located atop the Moti Magri or the Pearl Hill and and has a statue of the famous Rajput hero, Maharana Pratap. Beautiful gardens will lead you upto the statue. The second one is a museum housing colourful objects like dresses, turbans, masks, musical instruments, paintings and puppets. Watch a 15 minute puppet show here. You can also stop to watch a Rajasthani dance and puppet show which is held between 6- 7 pm.

You can also spend this evening shopping for some goods or simply relax and recount the moments of the beautiful days that you have spent in Udaipur. Have your dinner at the hotel and stay overnight in Udaipur.

Day 12 : Kumbhalgarh - Tour To The Invincible Kumbhalgarh Fort

This is yet another exciting day for exploring Rajasthan's various treasures. Today, you will see an invincible fort & palace, explore a wildlife sanctuary and also appreciate the beauty of the Jain Temples. But for this, leave Udaipur in the morning and set out for Kumbhalgarh which is at a distance of 100 km.

Check in at the hotel on arrival and then proceed to visit the majestic Kumbhalgarh Fort & Palace. The fort was built by Rana Kumbha who is credited for constructing 32 out of the total 84 major fortification in the Mewar region. The fort has around 365 temples within its premises along with several other palaces.

A visit to Kumbhalgarh is grossly incomplete without exploring the Kumbhalgarh sanctuary (4 km) and Ranakpur Temples (50 km). So, after completing your trip round the fort, set out to unravel the wild and religious attractions around Kumbhalgarh. The sanctuary is home to variety of birds and animals like Gray Jungle Fowl, Red Spurfowl, Gray Hornbill, Panther, Sloth Bear, Nilgai Antelope, Sambar Deer, Four-horned Antelope, Wolf, Jackal, Jungle Cat, Civet and Hyena.

The Ranakpur Jain Temples, dedicated to Jain saints, have beautiful sculptures to enhance their beauty. Here, visit the Chaumukha Temple, Neminath Temple, Parsavnath Temple and the Sun Temple.

Later, return to the hotel and relax. Have your dinner and stay overnight in Kumbhalgarh.

Day 13 : Mount Abu - The Only Hill Station Of The Desert State

In the morning, after an early breakfast, head towards Mount Abu which is the only hill station in the state of Rajasthan. It is at distance of 130 km from Kumbhalgarh.

On arrival transfer to the hotel and soon after proceed to the Nakki Lake. Here, view the surrounding hills, wonder at the unique rock formations (one of them is shaped like a toad), visit the Raghunath temple, feed yourself at the juice and food stalls, get yourself clicked and also enjoy an hour of horse ride.

Post lunch, visit the Dilwara Temples and the Sunset Point, which are what make Mount Abu extremely popular among the tourists. The Jain Group of Temples have basically five worth visiting temples. Two out of these five, the Vimal Vashi Temple (dedicated to Adinath) and Tejpal Temple (dedicated to Neminath) have superlative marble carvings. While visiting the Dilwara temples, make sure that you respect the religious sentiments of the Jains. Do not take any leather items inside nor try to click photographs.

Watch the sun set in Mount Abu from the Sunset Point. This is the most famous view point of the city with a number of food stall and other entertainment facilities. Spend some time strolling in a beautiful (but not quiet) atmosphere of Mount Abu.

Later, return to the hotel and have your dinner. Overnight stay in Mount Abu.

Day 14 : Jodhpur - Sit Back And Relax

Today, have your breakfast early in the morning and leave for Jodhpur which lies at a distance of 360 km.

Jodhpur was founded in the 15th century by Rao Jodha, a Rajput chief, and stands at the edge of the Thar Desert. Despite its aridness, Jodhpur presents a remarkable colourful life. Apart from the the bright colour dresses that float in the desert breezes, the houses of the city are also pleasantly draped in bluish hues. Jodhpur was also the proud shooting venue of the Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book.

This vibrant city is the next destination in your tour. On arrival to Jodhpur, transfer straight to the hotel. For the rest of the day relax and get prepared for an exciting next day ahead. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 15 : Jodhpur - Explore The Ancient Havelis

Have an early breakfast and head for an exciting half day jeep safari to Bishnoi villages. Bishnoi villages have set an unprecedented example of determination environmental conservation. The people here are very particular about the safety of animals like the black bucks and the Indian Antelope. The desire to conserve their environment have also seen some exceptional efforts from the people like the one in the 18th century when a women laid down her life to save a tree meant to be cut down. Salute the genuine effort of the Bishnoi villagers and thereafter return to Jodhpur.

Visit the Mehrangarh Fort which was initiated at the time when the city itself was founded. However, constructions continued for centuries later in this fort and today, the numerous palaces inside house a museum. Also, visit the Jaswant Thada which is located a little way outside the fort wall. Jaswant Thada preserves the memorial of Jaswant Singh II along with numerous other Jodhpur rulers.

Day 16 : Jaisalmer - Get Ready For Desert Safari

This morning, after a quick breakfast, proceed to another sparkling destination in the desert region of Rajasthan - Jaisalmer. This city, that has been nicknamed the 'Golden City' of Rajasthan seems to rise from the golden sand of the desert.

The landscape of Jaisalmer is just perfect for an adventurous sojourn. So, after reaching the city and relaxing for an hour or two, head towards the village of Kuldhara. From there, undertake a camel safari trip to the hugely famous Sam Sand Dunes. The everchanging face of Sam Sand Dunes holds a magical effect in its heart. The golden hues of the sand shine brilliantly as the sun sets far in the horizon and moon takes its place in the sky.

Enjoy the cool breezes of the evening amidst an apparently unending ocean of sand and later return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.

Day 17 : Jaisalmer

Have your breakfast early and head to explore the city with its various attractions. Visit the Jaisalmer fort that is perched atop the Trikuta Hill. The fort was built in the 12th century by Bhatti Rajput ruler, Jaisala. Within the fort premises, there are numerous other attractions like Chowk, Jain Temples and havelis. Also, an important highlight of the fort is that a major part of the population of Jaisalmer still resides within the fort area as such it is possible to see a glimpse of the old lifestyle till today.

The havelis of Jaisalmer, particularly the Patwon ki haveli and Nathmalji ki haveli cannot be missed if you have to feel the charm of the bygone era. So, pay a visit to them and wonder at the details that the owners of these havelis took into consideration while constructing them.

After a day full of sightseeing, it's now time to sit back and enjoy some music and dance by the Rajasthani folk artists. The rhythmic beats will force you to tap your feet along or even match steps with the dancers.

Day 18 : Bikaner

Another day full of excitement and sightseeing. Bid adieu to Jaisalmer after a full breakfast and head towards Bikaner, the third city in the Rajasthan desert region trio. En route, stop by to see the migratory cranes in the Keechan village.

Day 19 : Mandawa - See The Rural Life

Have your breakfast and leave for Mandawa which lies at a distance of 200 km. The Tal Chappar Sanctuary lies midway, so stop by to watch the deers hopping around in the green grasses and drinking water from the lake.

Transfer to the hotel after reaching Mandawa. Mandawa is rather a small place, nevertheless it exudes a remarkable charm. It was inhabited by affluent merchant class in the 18th century and retains some of the finest havelis till date. Visit the havelis of Mandawa and also that of the nearby region like Dundlod, Laxmangarh, Nawalgarh and Mukundgarh. All these havelis have some beautiful fresco paintings that reflect the skill s of the earlier craftsmen.

You can also pick up some local handicraft items from the small shops that have recently come up to cater to the needs of tourists.

Day 20 : Jaipur

This morning, have your breakfast and head for the last destination of your tour and also perhaps the most royal one - Jaipur.

Jaipur , the capital city of Rajasthan, was founded by Sawai Raja Jai Singh. The pink hues that spread with such ease throughout the city has earned it the nicname of the pink city. Jaipur, today is at the centre of tourists attraction in the state of Rajasthan.

After around four hours of journey when you reach Jaipur, transfer to your hotel immediately and relax for sometime. Afternoon is also at leisure if you want to be with yourself and family. In the evening, however, you can walk in the lanes and inspect the nearer attractions of the town first - the shops, temples and traditional houses.

Return to your hotel and have a refreshing dinner. Enjoy a good night's sleep with sweet dreams of your beautiful journey into Rajasthan.

Day 21 : Jaipur - Shop Till You Drop

After have your breakfast, set out to unravel the wondorous past and vibrant present of Jaipur.

Start out with the Amber Fort which lies at the distance of 11 km from jaipur. The fort was initiated by Raja Man Singh and served as the capital of the Jaipur rulers till the time the capital was shifted to Jaipur itself. An elephant ride to the fort is an exprience that will not leave you long after the trip is over.

Later visit the City Palace complex that covers two out of nine segments into which the city of Jaipur is divided. The palace has an extensive collection of Rajput relics stored in its museum. The Hawa Mahal, though a part of the City Palace complex stands apart. It was meant to provide the royal ladies a glimpse into the outer world. Also, pay a visit to Jantar Mantar, an observatory that proves that the Rajput rulers had more in their mind apart from waging wars and constructing forts and palaces. The observatory records the movements of the planetary bodies in the space.

Day 22 : Delhi
